The European Union Road Federation, in partnership with the Road Safety Markings Association, is pleased to inform you that the call for abstracts for the 1st European Road Infrastructure Congress has been extended.
At a time when the UK government is taking the lead in adopting innovative management and financing models for the delivery of road infrastructure, such as the establishment of Highways England as an independent body with a ring-fenced multi-annual budget, the 2016 European Road Infrastructure Congress will bring together policy makers, academics, research institutes, road authorities and industry representatives from across the continent to explore the following three overarching themes:
Experts in the field of road infrastructure are invited to submit a short abstract of 250 words in relation to the above-mentioned themes by 15 February. For more information about the themes and the preliminary programme, please consult the following document.
The abstracts will be subsequently evaluated by a set of internationally renowned experts after which participants will be informed about the technical committee’s decision by the first half of March.
