WebForum “Sustainable and Resilient Roads”

Polish Road Congress – PIARC Poland and the Regional Roads Authority in Katowice invite you to participate in the online conference “WebForum – Sustainable and Resilient Roads”. This event will take place on 29 October 2020. This is the 8th edition of International conference organized each year. Due to current pandemic situation we decided to move this event from regular meeting to the on-line conference. Each edition gathers over 200 international participants, experts and important representatives of road administration.

Traditionally, the conference covers topics of strategic importance and shows the latest technological trends in the road industry.  These strategic topics will include: conclusions for the road industry from the COVID-19 pandemic from PIARC perspective, a new road management system in Germany, as well as the preparation of a new system of guidelines and standards for roads and bridges in Poland. We will cover also themes from Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia.

Technical sessions will be devoted to asphalt pavements, including, among others, the advantages of modified asphalt pavements, conditions for achieving quality parameters in the acceptance specifications, methods of diagnostics of pavement condition. The second part of the conference will focus on technological innovations in the road industry in a wide range of areas: from bridge condition control, earthworks and geotechnics to innovative diagnostics methods.

The conference languages are Polish and English and simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
