International Award on Road Innovation “Juan Antonio Fernández del Campo”

The Foundation of the Spanish Road Association (FAEC) just summoned a new edition of its “International Award on Road Innovation Juan Antonio Fernández del Campo”. This award was created in 2005 with the aim of contributing to the development of road technology worldwide through specific research activities focusing on the innovation in the road sector. Additionally, the award expects to spread Spanish as international scientific language on road matters.
Throughout the seven editions celebrated, this Prize has become an international reference in road research in Spanish language, due to the high level participation in previous editions. Along these years, research works have been mainly focused on paving (both techniques and materials), technologies and tools to improve road safety and traffic management, etc.
More than 170 research studies have been submitted to this award until now, developed by experts from 21 countries around the world (France, México, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Switzerland, Great Britain and Spain, among others).
“International Award on Road Innovation Juan Antonio Fernández del Campo” is opened to individuals and legal entities from any country, researchers, PhD, etc. The winner will be awarded with 12.000 €.
Deadline for the presentation of research works is 25th September 2020.
The final ceremony will take place on 26th of November (exact place will be communicated at a later stage).
